Description

The blue ranunculus is native to Asia and celebrated for its medicinal properties as well as its brilliant beauty. The small camellia-like ranunculus ranges from white to pink, red to yellow to orange. Also known as Buttercup and Coyote’s Eyes. The legend has it that the mythological Coyote was raising his eyes in the air and catching them when an eagle snatched them away. Unable to see, Coyote created buttercup eyes.

In the language of flowers, the ranunculus is the flower of seduction, charm, and beauty. The flower is seen as a compliment, loudly proclaiming, “You are enchanting.” For example, a bouquet of red ranunculus shows physical attraction.

In the language of flowers, a bouquet of ranunculus says, “I am dazzled by your charms.” Although blue is not one of its colors, I made this one one day when I was looking at pictures of my son when he was born. Blue is associated with announcing the birth of a boy. And well, there were my eyes, not the coyote’s, but mine, remembering my baby in the photos.

It measures approximately 12″ tall and 2″ wide. They are made to order in any color. Submit your custom order by contacting me and I’d be happy to make it for you!
